The Women’s Adventure Film Tour is a celebration of the inspiring women around us who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure.

This is Australia’s original women’s adventure film tour, created by Adventure Entertainment in partnership with She Went Wild. In a global first it was launched to a sell-out crowd in Sydney in May 2017 and has grown to become a success throughout the world. In 2018, we successfully toured the tour in the US, UK, Asia and Australia & New Zealand, with over 55 showings across Australia & New Zealand alone.

In our first year, the films were sourced from the Mountainfilm Festival in Telluride, Colorado. As the tour grew, we begun sourcing and developing our own content directly with and from filmmakers. In each location, we tailor the films to suit the audience and showcase the area.
If you're interested in submitting a film, please visit our film submission page.

Tied in with Women's Health Week in Australia every year, our selection of unique films are carefully chosen to show awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. Being adventurous doesn't always have to mean being the fastest, going the highest or doing the most extreme things. Adventure for the most of us is stepping outside our comfort zone and climbing our own personal Everest. The films showcase real stories about women from a variety of cultures and sports around the world.

We aim for the festival be enjoyed by women, children and men of all ages.

Adventure Film Tours specialises in distribution of high quality outdoor adventure films. Now in our third year of operation, we are expanding rapidly in Australia, New Zealand and overseas. In 2018 alone, we ran more than 550 screenings worldwide. In Australia and New Zealand, we run a series of annual film tours such as Mountainfilm on Tour (Australia and New Zealand), European Outdoor Film Tour (Australia and New Zealand), International Ocean Film Tour (Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong). We also distribute feature length adventure films such as Red Bull Media House's The Dawn Wall.

She Went Wild's mission is to inspire, educate and connect women to live adventurously in the outdoors. We do this through digitally publishing practical information and beautiful content to inspire, coordinating activity workshops to educate and creating events that connect likeminded women to each other and the outdoors. In addition to co-hosting the Women's Adventure Film Tour, we also produce the Women's Adventure Expo which was the first of its kind in 2016.

Over 53,000 people have already joined the movement and we would love for you to be a part of it!
